       TR-PP-8-A

is a French development. It is one radio of the series, consisting of TR-PP-8, TR-PP-11 and TR-PP-13 .
As successor of the PRC-6 it has the same shape as PRC-6, but has 6 channels,
(unlike the one channel of the PRC-6.)

The radio can be held like a telephone handset , but also can be carried over the shoulder, using an handset.

It contains 12 subminiatiure tubes; 8 in the receiver and 4 in the transmitter.

The TR-PP-8-A consists of following components:
      Transceiver ER-38-A with attached antenna,
     Handset H 33/PT- Fr and
     Battery BA-270/U.

Frequencies are changed by a 6- channel turret (revolver). Here not a coil- turret is used, but a
     trim-capacitor-turret.

The channel switch is not switched contunuously, but turning 45° and releasing switches to the next channel.

The turret is switched to 6 positions or channels; and each position means a special frequency range:

     Position 1: 47.0 ... 48.4 MHz
     Position 2: 48.4 ... 49.8 MHz
     Position 3: 49.8 ... 51.2 MHz
     Position 4: 51.2 ... 52.6 MHz
     Position 5: 52.6 ... 54.0 MHz
     Position 6: 54.0 ... 55.4 MHz
