  VRC-4622

is the successor of RT-3600. In 1984 it was issued in the Dutch army. Due to needs, different parts can be combined to form different radios. There is a 50 kHz and a 25 kHz version. The radio set here is the 25 kHz version.
The museum shows:

  • RT-4600 (Transceiver) with built- in booster and
  • AF-4620, "Loudspeaker Control Box"- changing 24V to 12V for the transceiver, has a NF- amplifier and several protections, e.g. a transient protection.

    RT-4600 and AF-4620 together form

  • VRC-4622, as shown in the picture.

( If you insert a battery box, instead of the booster, into the RT-4600 you have a portable transceiver with 7W Hf. See: RT-4600 )
