Directional antenna set MC-619.

for use with SCR-536 (BC-611).

    The antenna set:

consists of
a foldable antenna loop AN-190 on a wooden frame with handle.
AN-190

The three-connector plug of the antenna connects to the
Coupling unit BC-1387, the coupling unit is clipped to the antenna of the radio.
Coupling unit BC-1387
(Both antenna AN-190 and coupling unit BC-1387 are pretuned to each other, and only work in the factory tuned combination).

A chest Case CS-156 is meant to carry the radio,
A chest Case CS-157 contains the parts of the homing antenna.
An additional bottom plate for the SCR-536 hat has connectors for an external headset: Headset HS-30.

Operation:

Unit BC-1357 is attached on top of the radio, the frame of the antenna is extended, the antenna cable is plugged to the unit BC-1357, and the unit is clipped to the rod antenna of the radio.

The rod antenna is extendes to the height of BC-1357, this switching on the radio.

Look in the direction of the arrows on the handle of the antenna.
<==

Hold the antenna vertical and as high as possible. Turn it 360 degrees.
180 ° apart you receive a strong signal; turned from this position 90°, the signal goes towards null.

This means: The small side of the antenna points to the direction of the transmitter. Now you know that the transmitter can be situated in both directions of the small side, that is when the Sense- screw is used.

In the null- position of the antenna the Sense - screw is touched, and the antenna is turned 90° to the left and to the right. You notice a weaker and a stronger signal. The stronger signal is the direction of the transmitter.

Release the sense screw and turn the antenna 90° from null to the direction of the strong signal. Now the arrow on the handle points into the average direction of the transmitter. By carefully turning the antenna left an right, you find the exact direction.
